MIEA’s annual awards recognize individuals who through their work, their involvement in school/colleges, leadership and personal commitment are making a positive difference in Indian education in Montana and exemplify the importance of education in the lives of Montana’s Indian people.

**This new award is an open category for all persons; regardless of profession, culture, or ethnicity. In the spirit of “Indian Education for All” this award is presented to someone who has encouraged and promoted Indian education in the state of Montana and whose example inspires others. All award winners will receive a plaque and cash award at the final MIEA Award Luncheon.

THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST ACCOMPANY THE NOMINATION FORM OR NOMINATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED:
1. One page statement on why the nominee should be selected.
2. Biographical information of examples of nominee’s accomplishments. These should include education experience, degrees (if applicable), year in school/college, involvement in Indian education, leadership on committees or organizations, involvement with the school and community, special interests. Please note any publications.
3. At least 2 letters of support.
4. Other supporting documentation as desired.
