Indian Education Office (Montana)

The Indian Education office serves two purposes. The first is to assure that Indian students and communities receive a quality and equitable education. The second is to assure that ALL students leave the public education system with an understanding of the rich history and contemporary issues of Montana's Indians. This obligation is outlined in the Montana Constitution under Article X, Section 1(2).

Northwest Regional Education Lab

The Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory (NWREL) provides research and development assistance to education, government, community agencies, business, and labor. NWREL's primary service area is the Northwest states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.

The mission of the National Indian Education Association is to support traditional Native cultures and values, to enable Native learners to become contributing members of their communities, to promote Native control of educational institutions, and to improve educational opportunities and resources for American Indians, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians throughout the United States.

 

National Indian School Board Association

NISBA's vision is to have empowered school board members, parents, and other stakeholders. The organization aims to support quality learning for Indian students and tribal cultural and economic needs.
